Organisation: Gemilang Coachwork Sdn Bhd (GML) was incorporated in 23rd September 1989 by two cousin brothers, Mr.C.Y.Pang the Managing Director and S.W.Phang the Executive Director. Location: In 1994, GML shifted to Senai Industrial zone from rented premises in Tampoi, Johor Bahru in view of its rapid expansion to meet the overwhelming demand. It is situated about 2 km away from Senai International Airport and 1 Km from North-South Highway. The present plant is building on a four- acres land and is wholly owned by GML. Market: GML offers a large range of buses and the designs are constantly improved to keep our business trendy. The company also undertakes repair works and refurbishment of buses. The company has enjoyed the strong support from Maju group, Eng Tiam and former T. Hakkim and several others. The business web also spreads to East Malaysia. As we foresee a constant healthy growth in the transportation industry, we aim to update ourselves with the latest technique and equipment while trying to open the export market. On 25th March 1999, GML has been awarded 25 million contract to build 120 buses for an Australian company (Bus & Coach International). This was the first contract in Malaysia to be given by an Australian company. Goal: Growth is the central goal of the company. Only as we gear ourselves to the goal we can improve and be on par with the rest of the foreign counterparts. Meanwhile, our expansion would benefit the society as the job opportunity would increase while the drivers and passengers can enjoy a higher standard of safety and comfort. | ||||||||||||||||
